Dynamic generation of formatted user interfaces in software environments

A non-transitory medium holding instructions executable in a computational device, the instructions for:

• receiving an indication of a selected group of entities, the selected group comprising a plurality of entities, the entities:
• being associated with one or more properties,
• including at least one entity from a first object, and
• including at least one entity from a second object;
• determining a group of properties of the plurality of entities, where the group of properties is defined by at least one set operation;
• identifying an edit operation to be performed on at least one of the properties of the group of properties;
• and
• applying the edit operation to the entities associated with the at least one property.

A system for manipulating a block diagram, the system comprising:

• a processor to:
• receive an indication of a selected group of entities of a software environment, the selected group comprising a plurality of entities, the entities:
• being associated with one or more properties,
• including at least one entity from a first object, and
• including at least one entity from a second object,
• determine a group of properties of the plurality of entities, where the group of properties is defined by at least one set operation;
• and
• an input device to:
• indicate an edit operation to be performed on at least one of the properties of the group of properties, wherein the edit operation is applied to the entities associated with the at least one property.
