Abstract
The present disclosure provides a system and method for electronic communications dialog between a plurality of users using digital images. The user selects a template for entering a plurality of words and associated images that constitute an initial electronic message. The user then enters a plurality of words into the template corresponding to the initial electronic message. A plurality of images is selected having a direct correspondence with the plurality of words entered into the template. Each image is inserted into the template in a sequence corresponding to the initial electronic message. When the initial template is complete, the initial electronic message containing the sequenced images is sent to at least one other user.
Claims20
A method for an electronic communications dialog between a plurality of users using digital images, comprising the steps of:
- providing an ability to select a template for entering one or more words and one or more associated images one at a time that constitute an electronic communications dialogue;
- providing an ability to enter one or more words into the template corresponding to the electronic communications dialogue;
- providing an ability to select one or more images from a visual dictionary, each of the one or more images having a direct correspondence with the one or more words entered into the template such that the one or more images are configured to convey a message represented by the one or more words to one or more of the plurality of users, and each of the one or more images has one or more associated words provided by the user such that each of the one or more images conveys meaning based on the one or more associated words;
- providing an ability to insert each image into a page for the electronic communications dialogue;
- and
- providing an ability to display the electronic communications dialogue containing the images to at least one other user via the page.
A system for an electronic communications dialog between a plurality of users using digital images, comprising:
- a data storage for storing one or more words and corresponding images in a visual dictionary of a user, the data storage is configured to allow the user to save the corresponding images and associate the one or more words with the corresponding images, the corresponding images are marked as private or public with private images only accessible by the user and public images accessible by any user;
- a processor for executing a plurality of components, including:
- a component that provides a template for the user to enter one or more words and one or more associated images that constitute an electronic communications dialogue;
- a component that provides a plurality of images for user selection, wherein the one or more images have a direct correspondence with the one or more words entered into the template such that the one or more images are configured to convey a message represented by the one or more words;
- a component that provides for insertion of each image into a page corresponding to the electronic communications dialogue;
- and
- a component that displays the electronic communications dialogue containing the one or more images to at least one other user via the page.
