Battery management system, method of controlling the same, and energy storage system including the battery management system

A battery management system comprising:

• a battery cell;
• an analog front end coupled to a first ground;
• a computer coupled to a second ground;
• an insulating unit for insulating the analog front end from the computer;
• and
• a first power switching unit for receiving a control signal from the computer through the insulating unit, controlling a distribution of power from the battery cell according to the control signal, and controlling a supply of the power to the insulating unit, wherein the first power switching unit comprises:
• a transistor configured to be turned on or off according to the control signal;
• a first resistor and a second resistor coupled to a first terminal of the transistor for distributing a voltage of the battery cell;
• and
• wherein the battery management system further comprises a third resistor coupled between a second terminal of the transistor and an output terminal of the insulating unit through which the control signal is output.
