Abstract
The present invention provides an inbred corn line designated XF6752, methods for producing a corn plant by crossing plants of the inbred line XF6752 with plants of another corn plant. The invention further encompasses all parts of inbred corn line XF6752, including culturable cells. Additionally provided herein are methods for introducing transgenes into inbred corn line XF6752, and plants produced according to these methods.
Claims18
A seed of the maize variety XF6752, representative seed sample deposited under ATCC Accession Number PTA-12491.
A maize plant XF6752, representative seed sample of said XF6752 plant having been deposited under ATCC Accession Number PTA-12491.
A process of introducing a heritable trait into maize variety XF6752 comprising:
- (a) crossing XF6752 plants grown from XF6752 seeds, representative seed sample deposited under ATCC Accession Number PTA-12491, with plants of another maize variety that comprise a desired trait to produce hybrid progeny plants, (b) selecting hybrid progeny plants that have the desired trait to produce selected hybrid progeny plants;
- (c) crossing the selected hybrid progeny plants with the XF6752 plants to produce backcross progeny plants;
- (d) selecting for backcross progeny plants that have the desired trait to produce selected backcross progeny plants;
- and (e) repeating steps (c) and (d) at least three or more times to produce backcross progeny plants that comprise the desired trait and all of the physiological and morphological characteristics of maize inbred plant XF6752 when grown in the same environmental conditions.
