A method for reducing risk of an inflammatory-induced disease caused by intra-phagocytic prokaryotic pathogens, wherein the inflammatory-induced disease is selected from the group consisting of Bladder Cancer, Breast Cancer, Colorectal Cancer, Gastric Cancer, Liver Cancer, Lung Cancer, Pancreatic Cancer, Prostate Cancer, and Thyroid Cancer;
- comprising administering to a subject in need thereof a therapeutically effective amount of Olmesartan or Olmesartan medoxomil, together with one or more antibiotics capable of inhibiting bacterial protein synthesis by inhibiting the intra-phagocytic prokaryotic 70S-bacterial-ribosome to treat intra-phagocytic prokaryotic pathogens and reduce the risk of an inflammatory-induced disease, wherein the Olmesartan or Olmesartan medoxomil is administered by semi-continuous or intermittent administration in such a way that the Olmesartan or Olmesartan medoxomil has a concentration in the subject's bloodstream that is constrained from falling below 30% of its peak value.
