Abstract
The invention relates to methods and compositions for treating non-trans fats, fatty acids and sunscreen stains with a chelating agent. The invention also relates to methods for reducing the frequency of laundry fires with a chelating agent.
Claims8
A method of hindering the polymerization of a non-trans fat soil, comprising:
- applying a chelating agent to a fabric soiled with said non-trans fat soil, the chelating agent being in an effective amount to hinder polymerization of said non-trans fat soil;
- wherein the effective amount of the chelating agent is 0.000083 grams per 1 gram of fabric;
- and
- hindering polymerization of the non-trans fat soil.
