Valve assembly having improved connections

A valve assembly, comprising:

• a valve housing having an internal bore for receiving a valve control cartridge;
• a harbor provided within an end of the valve housing, the harbor comprising:
• a first opening;
• a second opening;
• and
• a first retaining segment at least partially defining a slot;
• a water supply hose having an end portion, the end portion of the water supply hose having a groove thereon and mounted in the first opening;
• a water outlet hose having an end portion, the end portion of the water outlet hose having a groove thereon and mounted in the second opening;
• and
• a clip comprising a first prong and a second prong, the first prong having a first portion and a second portion, and the first prong and the second prong at least partially defining a retaining area therebetween;
• wherein a diameter of the end portion of the water supply hose is less than the width of the retaining area, and a diameter of the end portion of the water outlet hose is greater that the width of the retaining area;
• wherein when the clip is positioned in the slot, the first prong engages the first retaining segment, the first portion of the first prong engages the groove of the water supply hose, and the second portion of the first prong engages the groove of the water outlet hose.
