System and method for pricing of merchant accounts

A system operating on a processor to manage merchant payment transaction processing accounts, the system configured to:

• receive merchant account application data that defines a plurality of data fields for initiating a new merchant account;
• transmit the merchant account application data to a system having access restricted to a predetermined set of users;
• display one or more algorithms used to generate merchant account pricing data to a user;
• generate the merchant account pricing data at the system using the one or more algorithms and the merchant account application data;
• provide the merchant account pricing data to the user;
• receive merchant historical transaction data of a predetermined period of time of a merchant associated with the merchant account application data;
• and
• generate merchant target data related to profitability targets.

A system operating on a processor to manage transaction processing accounts, the system configured to:

• receive account application data that defines a plurality of data fields for initiating a new account;
• transmit the account application data to a system having access restricted to a predetermined set of users;
• display one or more algorithms used to generate account pricing data to a user;
• generate the account pricing data at the system using the one or more algorithms and the account application data;
• provide the account pricing data to the user;
• receive historical transaction data of a predetermined period of time of a user associated with the account application data;
• and
• generate target data related to profitability targets.
