System and methods for distributed analysis of patient records

One or more non-transitory computer storage media embodying computer-useable instructions that, when used by one or more computing devices, cause the one or more computing devices to perform a method for automatically implementing an analysis of a set of records of a selected patient population of a healthcare entity, the method comprising:

• receiving an informational publication from a third-party publishing service;
• analyzing the informational publication for a relevant piece of clinical information, the relevant piece of clinical information comprising at least an advisory regarding a drug-drug interaction;
• extracting the relevant piece of clinical information from the informational publication;
• transforming the relevant piece of clinical information into executable code;
• distributing a link to the executable code to the healthcare entity, wherein selection of the link by the healthcare entity initiates execution of the executable code against a set of structured electronic patient records of the patient population of the healthcare entity to register matches of the relevant piece of clinical information with data contained in the set of structured electronic patient records, wherein the matches correspond to a portion of the patient population;
• based on the registered matches, automatically notifying one or more clinicians associated with the healthcare entity of the advisory regarding the drug-drug interaction.

One or more non-transitory computer storage media embodying computer-useable instructions that, when used by one or more computing devices, cause the one or more computing devices to perform a method of queuing tasks for a portion of a patient population of a healthcare entity, the method comprising:

• receiving an informational publication from a third-party publishing service;
• analyzing the informational publication for a relevant piece of clinical information, the relevant piece of clinical information comprising an advisory regarding a first medication;
• extracting the relevant piece of clinical information from the informational publication;
• transforming the relevant piece of clinical information into a structured query;
• distributing a link to the structured query to the healthcare entity, wherein selection of the link by the healthcare entity initiates execution of the structured query against a set of structured electronic patient records of the patient population of the healthcare entity to register matches of the relevant piece of clinical information with data contained in the set of structured electronic patient records, wherein the matches correspond to the portion of the patient population;
• based on the registered matches, automatically notifying one or more clinicians associated with the healthcare entity of the advisory regarding the first medication.
