Content capability clearing house systems and methods

A method, comprising:

• receiving a content capability request, wherein the content capability request indicates that a provider of content desires to establish an end-to-end connection for providing a content delivery session between the content provider and a subscriber at a specified quality of service and includes a subscriber identifier that identifies the subscriber for use with content screening, wherein the content capability request is received from a first network provider in response to:
• the subscriber requesting the content, and
• the content provider determining that the content requested by the subscriber requires the specified quality of service;
• determining a network profile for a second network provider of the subscriber;
• validating whether the second network provider of the subscriber can provide the specified quality of service and content tailored to the subscriber, wherein the validating is based upon the determined network profile and the subscriber identifier
• screening the content to be delivered based on the subscriber identifier;
• receiving from the first network provider a forwarded quality of service release message that originates from the content provider and indicates that the content has been delivered from the content provider, and in response to receiving the quality of service release message, forwarding the quality of service release message to the second network provider of the subscriber to record a completion of a transaction;
• wherein a subscriber preference module is configured to generate subscriber preference information based on a content tracking repository for the subscriber identified in the content capability request.

A computer-readable storage device having computer program logic recorded thereon, execution of which, by a computing device, causes the computing device to perform operations for establishing content delivery capabilities for an end-to-end communications transaction between a content provider supported by a first network provider and a subscriber supported by a second network provider, comprising:

• receiving a content capability request, wherein the content capability request indicates that a provider of content desires to establish an end-to-end connection for providing a content delivery session between the content provider and a subscriber at a specified quality of service and includes a subscriber identifier that identifies the subscriber for use with content screening, wherein the content capability request is received from a first network provider in response to:
• the subscriber requesting the content, and
• the content provider determining that the content requested by the subscriber requires the specified quality of service;
• determining a network profile for a second network provider of the subscriber;
• validating whether the second network provider of the subscriber can provide the specified quality of service and content tailored to the subscriber, wherein the validating is based upon the determined network profile and the subscriber identifier;
• screening the content to be delivered based on the subscriber identifier;
• receiving from the first network provider a forwarded quality of service release message that originates from the content provider and indicates that the content has been delivered from the content provider, and in response to receiving the quality of service release message, forwarding the quality of service release message to the second network provider of the subscriber to record a completion of a transaction;
• wherein a subscriber preference module is configured to generate subscriber preference information based on a content tracking repository for the subscriber identified in the content capability request.
