Abstract
According to the invention, there is provided seed and plants of the hybrid corn variety designated CH637365. The invention thus relates to the plants, seeds and tissue cultures of the variety CH637365, and to methods for producing a corn plant produced by crossing a corn plant of variety CH637365 with itself or with another corn plant, such as a plant of another variety. The invention further relates to genetic complements of plants of variety CH637365.
Claims21
A seed of the hybrid corn variety CH637365, produced by crossing a first plant of variety CV368215 with a second plant of variety CV931366, wherein representative seed of said varieties CV368215 and CV931366 have been deposited under ATCC Accession numbers PTA-12249 and PTA-12243, respectively.
A seed of hybrid corn variety CH637365 produced by crossing
- (a) a plant produced by introducing a transgene into a plant of variety CV368215, or a selfed progeny thereof, with a plant of variety CV931366,
- (b) a plant produced by introducing a transgene into a plant of variety CV931366, or a selfed progeny thereof, with a plant of variety CV368215, or
- (c) a plant produced by introducing a transgene into a plant of variety CV931366, or a selfed progeny thereof, with a plant produced by introducing a transgene into a plant of variety CV368215, or a selfed progeny thereof,
- wherein representative seed of said varieties CV368215 and CV931366 have been deposited under ATCC Accession numbers PTA-12249 and PTA-12243, respectively, and wherein the transgene is inherited by the seed.
A method of producing hybrid corn seed comprising crossing a plant of variety CV368215 with a plant of variety CV931366, wherein representative seed of variety CV368215 and variety CV931366 have been deposited under ATCC Accession numbers PTA-12249 and PTA-12243, respectively.
A seed of the hybrid corn variety CH637365 further comprising at least a first single locus conversion, produced by crossing a first plant of variety CV368215 with a second plant of variety CV931366, wherein representative seed of said varieties CV368215 and CV931366 have been deposited under ATCC Accession numbers PTA-12249 and PTA-12243, respectively, wherein one or both of the first plant and second plant comprises the single locus conversion, and wherein a plant produced from said seed otherwise comprises essentially all of the morphological and physiological characteristics of corn variety CH637365 in Table 1, when grown under the same environmental conditions.
A method of introducing a heritable trait into hybrid corn variety CH637365 comprising the steps of:
- (a) introducing at least a first heritable trait into at least one inbred corn variety selected from the group consisting of variety CV368215 and variety CV931366 to produce a plant of the first inbred corn variety that heritably carries the trait, wherein the heritable trait is introduced into said first inbred corn variety by backcrossing and wherein representative samples of seed of variety CV368215 and variety CV931366 have been deposited under ATCC Accession numbers PTA-12249 and PTA-12243, respectively;
- and
- (b) crossing a plant of the first inbred corn variety that heritably carries the trait with a plant of a different variety selected from said group consisting of CV368215 and CV931366 to produce a plant of hybrid corn variety CH637365 comprising the heritable trait.
