Abstract
The present invention relates to promoters that enable gene expression which is both specific to the endosperm and early during the development of the endosperm, as well as nucleic acid molecules encoding basal endosperm transfer cell layer (BETL) proteins.
Claims14
A nucleic acid construct comprising:
- a) a basal endosperm transfer cell layer (BETL) specific promoter, wherein said BETL specific promoter is the BETL promoter of SEQ ID NO:
- 69, operatively linked to
- b) a nucleic acid coding for a MEG1 protein as depicted in SEQ ID No:
- 6, 8, 12, or 65.
