Abstract
A method of treating a dermatological disorder in a subject includes the step of administering a therapeutically effective amount of at least one PPARγ agonist or derivative thereof to the subject.

A method of ameliorating lichen planopilaris in a subject, the method comprising the step of administering a therapeutically effective amount of at least one PPARγ agonist to the subject, wherein the PPARγ agonist inhibits or decreases peroxisome loss in at least one cell of the subject.
A method of ameliorating lichen planopilaris in a subject, the method comprising the step of topically administering to the subject a therapeutically effective amount of at least one PPARγagonist, wherein the PPARγ agonist inhibits or decreases peroxisome loss in at least one cell of the subject.
