Abstract
Compositions containing apoaequorin and methods for their use in treating symptoms and disorders related to calcium imbalances associated with, for example, sleep quality, energy quality, mood quality, memory quality or pain are provided by the present invention.

A method for treating a symptom or disorder associated with calcium imbalance, comprising administering to a subject in need of such treatment an effective amount of apoaequorin, wherein said apoaequorin is not administered with its cofactor, coelenterazine.
