## Abstract

According to the invention, there is provided seed and plants of the corn variety designated CV795122. The invention thus relates to the plants, seeds and tissue cultures of the variety CV795122, and to methods for producing a corn plant produced by crossing a corn plant of variety CV795122 with itself or with another corn plant, such as a plant of another variety. The invention further relates to corn seeds and plants produced by crossing plants of variety CV795122 with plants of another variety, such as another inbred line. The invention further relates to the inbred and hybrid genetic complements of plants of variety CV795122.

## Claims

### Claim 1

A plant of corn variety CV795122, wherein a sample of seed of corn variety CV795122 has been deposited under ATCC Accession No. PTA-12957.

### Claim 2 (depends on 1)

A plant part of the plant of claim 1.

### Claim 3 (depends on 2)

The plant part of claim 2, further defined as pollen, an ovule or a cell.

### Claim 4

A seed of corn variety CV795122, wherein a sample of seed of corn variety CV795122 has been deposited under ATCC Accession No. PTA-12957.

### Claim 5 (depends on 1)

A seed produced from a plant prepared by introducing a transgene into the plant of claim 1, or a selfed progeny of said plant prepared by introducing a transgene into the plant of claim 1, wherein the seed comprises the transgene.

### Claim 6

A corn plant that expresses all of the physiological and morphological characteristics of the corn variety CV795122, wherein a sample of seed of corn variety CV795122 has been deposited under ATCC Accession No. PTA-12957.

### Claim 7

A composition comprising a seed of corn variety CV795122 comprised in plant seed growth media, wherein a sample of seed of corn variety CV795122 has been deposited under ATCC Accession No. PTA-12957.

### Claim 8 (depends on 7)

The composition of claim 7, wherein the growth media is soil or a synthetic cultivation medium.

### Claim 9 (depends on 1)

An F1 hybrid seed produced by crossing a plant of corn variety CV795122 according to claim 1 with a second, distinct corn plant.

### Claim 10 (depends on 1)

An F1 hybrid seed produced by crossing a plant prepared by introducing a transgene into the plant of claim 1, or a selfed progeny of said plant prepared by introducing a transgene into the plant of claim 1, with a second, distinct corn plant, wherein the transgene is inherited by the seed.

### Claim 11 (depends on 9)

An F1 hybrid plant grown from the seed of claim 9.

### Claim 12

A plant produced by introducing a single locus conversion into corn variety CV795122, or a selfed progeny thereof, wherein the single locus was introduced into corn variety CV795122 by backcrossing or genetic transformation, wherein a sample of seed of corn variety CV795122 has been deposited under ATCC Accession No. PTA-12957 and wherein the plant comprises the single locus conversion and otherwise comprises essentially all the physiological and morphological characteristics of corn variety CV795122.

### Claim 13 (depends on 12)

The plant of claim 12, wherein the single locus conversion comprises a transgene.

### Claim 14 (depends on 12)

A seed that produces the plant of claim 12.

### Claim 15 (depends on 14)

The seed of claim 14, wherein the single locus confers a trait selected from the group consisting of male sterility, herbicide tolerance, insect or pest resistance, disease resistance, modified fatty acid metabolism, abiotic stress resistance, altered seed amino acid composition, site-specific genetic recombination, and modified carbohydrate metabolism.

### Claim 16 (depends on 15)

The seed of claim 15, wherein the herbicide tolerance trait is tolerance to an herbicide selected from the group consisting of glyphosate, sulfonylurea, imidazalinone, dicamba, glufosinate, phenoxy proprionic acid, cycloshexone, triazine, benzonitrile, PPO-inhibitor herbicides and broxynil.

### Claim 17

A method of producing a seed of a progeny plant derived from the corn variety CV795122, the method comprising crossing a plant of the corn variety CV795122 with a corn plant of a second variety to produce at least a first seed, wherein a sample of seed of corn variety CV795122 has been deposited under ATCC Accession No. PTA-12957.

### Claim 18 (depends on 17)

The method of claim 17, further comprising the steps of
(a) crossing a plant grown from said seed with itself or a second plant to produce a seed of a progeny plant of a subsequent generation;
(b) growing a progeny plant of a subsequent generation from said seed and crossing the progeny plant of a subsequent generation with itself or a second plant; and
(c) repeating steps (a) and (b) with sufficient inbreeding until a seed of an inbred corn plant derived from the corn variety CV795122 is produced.

### Claim 19 (depends on 18)

The method of claim 18, further comprising crossing said inbred corn plant derived from the corn variety CV795122 with a corn plant of a different genotype to produce seed of a hybrid plant derived from the corn variety CV795122.
