Abstract
The present invention relates to a prostaglandin D2 metabolite, derivatives thereof, compositions comprising the metabolite, and an antibody that specially binds to the metabolite. Methods of use are also provided.
Claims4
A method of detecting whether prostaglandin D2 (PGD2) has been metabolized in an animal, the method comprising the steps of:
- providing a biological sample from an animal, and
- detecting an underivatized tetranor PGDM of Formula I in the biological sample using a method comprising liquid chromatography/tandem mass spectroscopy or an immunoassay
- wherein, if the underivatized tetranor PGDM of formula I is detected in the biological sample of the animal, PGD2 has been metabolized in the animal.
