## Abstract

The present invention relates to a rubber composition including (A) at least one rubber component selected from the group consisting of a synthetic rubber and a natural rubber; (B) a polymer of farnesene having a weight-average molecular weight of not less than 2,000 and less than 25,000; and (C) carbon black.

## Claims

### Claim 1

A rubber composition, comprising:
(A) at least one rubber component selected from the group consisting of a synthetic rubber and a natural rubber;
(B) from 0.1 to 100 parts by mass of a polymer of farnesene having a weight-average molecular weight of not less than 2,000 and less than 25,000, based on 100 parts by mass of the rubber component (A); and
(C) from 0.1 to 100 parts by mass of carbon black having an average particle size of from 5 to 100 nm, based on 100 parts by mass of the rubber component (A).

### Claim 2 (depends on 1)

The rubber composition of claim 1, wherein the polymer (B) is a homopolymer of β-farnesene.

### Claim 3 (depends on 1)

The rubber composition of claim 1, wherein the polymer (B) has a melt viscosity of from 0.1 to 3.5 Pa·s as measured at 38° C.

### Claim 4 (depends on 1)

The rubber composition of claim 1, wherein the synthetic rubber is at least one rubber selected from the group consisting of a styrene-butadiene rubber, a butadiene rubber and an isoprene rubber.

### Claim 5 (depends on 4)

The rubber composition of claim 4, wherein the styrene-butadiene rubber has a weight-average molecular weight of from 100,000 to 2,500,000.

### Claim 6 (depends on 4)

The rubber composition of claim 4, wherein the styrene-butadiene rubber has a styrene content of from 0.1 to 70% by mass.

### Claim 7 (depends on 4)

The rubber composition of claim 4, wherein the butadiene rubber has a weight-average molecular weight of from 90,000 to 2,000,000.

### Claim 8 (depends on 4)

The rubber composition of claim 4, wherein the butadiene rubber has a vinyl content of 50% by mass or less.

### Claim 9 (depends on 1)

The rubber composition of claim 1, wherein the polymer (B) has a molecular weight distribution (Mw/Mn) of from 1.0 to 2.0.

### Claim 10 (depends on 1)

A tire, comprising at least partially the rubber composition of claim 1.
