## Abstract

The present invention relates to methods, pharmaceutical compositions and kits for use in the treatment of Adult T-cell leukemia/lymphoma. More particularly, the present invention relates to a combination of an interferon, an arsenic compound and a reverse transcriptase inhibitor for the treatment of Adult T-cell leukemia/lymphoma.

## Claims

### Claim 1

A method for treating Adult T-cell leukemia/lymphoma in a patient in need thereof, comprising
administering to said subject a dose from 1 to 20 million international units (MIU) per day of an interferon-alpha, a dose from 1 to 50 mg per day of arsenic trioxide and a dose from 1 to 1500 mg per kg of body weight per day of zidovudine.

### Claim 2 (depends on 1)

The method according to claim 1 wherein said arsenic trioxide is administered at a dose from 10 to 15 mg per day.

### Claim 3 (depends on 1)

The method according to claim 1 wherein said zidovudine is administered at a dose from 600 to 1000 mg per kg of body weight per day.

### Claim 4 (depends on 1)

The method according to claim 1 wherein said interferon-alpha is administered at a dose from 3 to 9 MIU per day.

### Claim 5 (depends on 1)

The method according to claim 1 wherein said arsenic trioxide is administered by an intravenous route, said zidovudine is administered by an oral route, and said interferon-alpha is administered by an intramuscular or subcutaneous route.

### Claim 6 (depends on 1)

The method according to claim 1 wherein said interferon-alpha, said arsenic trioxide and said zidovudine are administered as a combined preparation for simultaneous, separate or sequential use.
