Tub for a washing machine with a bearing housing inserted therein

A washing machine comprising a tub formed by injection molding with a bearing housing inserted in the tub, wherein the bearing housing comprises:

• a bearing support that receives one or more bearings therein;
• and
• a flange that extends outward from the bearing support, the flange including a protruded part and a recessed part, wherein the flange is formed as a single body with the bearing support and is configured to be coupled to a stator of a motor, wherein the protruded part and the recessed part are concentrically arranged with respect to the bearing support, and are alternately arranged in a radial direction, wherein the recessed part is formed adjacent to and surrounding an outer circumference of the bearing support, and the protruded part is formed adjacent to and surrounding an outer circumference of the recessed part;
• a plurality of radial ribs positioned in a concave area defined by an underside of the protruded part, wherein the plurality of radial ribs extend radially therein and are arranged circumferentially therein;
• and
• a circumferential rib positioned in the concave area defined by the underside of the protruded part so as to connect the plurality of radial ribs.
