Vacuum appliance with adjustable tool support system and method of use

A tool assembly for a vacuum appliance, the tool assembly comprising:

• a frame having a first end and a longitudinally opposite second end;
• a mount configured to couple the frame to the vacuum appliance;
• a pivot coupled to the frame between the first and second ends so that the frame can rotate about the pivot;
• an actuator coupled to the first end of the frame and configured to support the frame in at least one of a first position and a second position;
• a tool coupled to the second end of the frame;
• a biasing device coupled to the frame between the pivot and one of the first and second ends so that the frame is biased to rotate about the pivot;
• and
• an opening in the frame between the first and second ends;
• wherein the biasing device is configured to pass through the opening, the biasing device having a first end configured to couple to the vacuum appliance and a second end configured to couple to the frame with a pin.
