## Abstract

A digital broadcast receiver and a control method thereof are disclosed. The digital broadcast receiver includes a reception unit for receiving a broadcast signal which mobile service data and main service data are multiplexed, an extractor for extracting transmission parameter channel signaling information and fast information channel signaling information from a data group in the received mobile service data, an acquirer for acquiring a program table describing virtual channel information and a service of an ensemble by using the extracted fast information channel signaling information, the ensemble being a virtual channel group of the received mobile service data, a detector for detecting a descriptor defining Internet access information corresponding to the mobile service data by using the acquired program table, and a controller for controlling such that the Internet access information of the detected descriptor and the mobile service data are displayed.

## Claims

### Claim 1

A broadcast transmitter comprising:
a Reed Solomon (RS) encoder for performing RS encoding and Cyclic Redundancy Check (CRC) encoding on mobile service data to build at least primary RS frames belonging to a primary ensemble or secondary RS frames belonging to a secondary ensemble,
wherein each of the built RS frames is mapped into data groups,
wherein each of the data groups comprises known data sequences, fast information channel (FIC) data and transmission parameter channel (TPC) data,
wherein the FIC data includes information for rapid mobile service acquisition, and
wherein the TPC data includes FIC version information for indicating an update of the FIC data and RS frame mode information for indicating a single frame mode or a dual frame mode; and
transmitting means for transmitting a transmission frame containing a parade, the parade being a collection of the data groups,
wherein the transmission frame is composed of a plurality of sub-frames,
wherein the TPC data further includes information for indicating a current sub-frame number within the transmission frame, and
wherein the parade carries one or two ensembles depending on the RS frame mode information.

### Claim 2 (depends on 1)

The broadcast transmitter of claim 1, wherein the parade carries the primary ensemble when the RS frame mode information indicates the single frame mode.

### Claim 3 (depends on 1)

The broadcast transmitter of claim 1, wherein the parade carries the primary ensemble and the secondary ensemble when the RS frame mode information indicates the dual frame mode.

### Claim 4 (depends on 1)

The broadcast transmitter of claim 1, wherein:
each of the data groups comprises a region A, a region B, a region C and a region D; and
data in the primary RS frames are mapped into the region A, the region B, the region C and the region D of the data groups when the RS frame mode information indicates the single frame mode.

### Claim 5 (depends on 4)

The broadcast transmitter of claim 4, wherein data in the primary RS frames are mapped into the region A and the region B of the data groups and data in the secondary RS frames are mapped into the region C and the region D of the data groups when the RS frame mode information indicates the dual frame mode.

### Claim 6 (depends on 1)
