Isolated glycyl-tRNA synthetase polypeptides and polynucleotides having non-canonical biological activities are provided, as well as compositions and methods related thereto.
Claims22
A therapeutic composition, comprising a pharmaceutically-acceptable carrier and an isolated glycyl-tRNA synthetase (GRS) polypeptide selected from (a) a polypeptide that comprises SEQ ID NO:1, (b) a fragment of (a) comprising at least 600 contiguous amino acids of SEQ ID NO:1, and (c) a variant of (a) having at least 95% identity to SEQ ID NO:1, where the GRS polypeptide has cell signaling activity and is at least about 90% pure, and where the composition is sterile and pyrogen-free.
