Abstract
A combination of calixarene bisphosphite ligand and an organophosphine ligand. The combination can be employed with a catalytic metal to form a complex catalyst. The catalyst can be employed in ahydroforaiylation process for producing a mixture of aldehydes.
Claims14
A composition comprising a calixarene bisphosphite ligand and an organophosphine ligand.
A process comprising contacting CO, H2 and at least one olefin under hydroformylation conditions sufficient to form at least one aldehyde product in the presence of a catalyst having as components a transition metal, a calixarene bisphosphite ligand and an organophosphine ligand, wherein the molar ratio of organophosphine to catalytic metal is greater than 150:1, and the reaction rate is at least 0.2 g-mol/l-hr.
