Abstract
An injection blow molding method for making a container having the steps of injecting a molten crystallizable polymer in a preform mold via a hot runner system and biaxially stretching the preform by blowing to form a container. The method further having the step to selectively modify the flow path of the molten crystallizable polymer within the hot runner system.
Claims9
An injection blow molding method for making a container comprising the steps of:
- injecting a molten crystallizable polymer in a preform mold via a hot runner system and biaxially stretching the preform by blowing to form a container,
- wherein the step of injecting comprises inducing in the preform regular or irregular sequence of variations in molecular pre- alignment/orientation between different locations of a wall cross-section of the preform.
