Method and device for accessing the documentation of an aircraft according to alarms generated therein

A device to access aircraft documentation, the device comprising:

• flight warning circuitry configured to generate, based on a detected failure or anomaly, a first signal and a second signal;
• warning display circuitry configured to receive the first signal from said flight warning circuitry and to display, based on the first signal, procedures to be performed in response to the detected failure or anomaly, the displayed procedures being displayed in response to user-initiated access of at least one user-activatable link;
• and
• information circuitry configured to receive the second signal from said flight warning circuitry,
• wherein the user-initiated access of the at least one user-activatable link is based on a documentary unit stored in memory, the documentary unit providing a relationship between the second signal and the at least one user-activatable link.

A system on-board an aircraft to access documentation associated with the aircraft, the system comprising:

• a flight warning subsystem configured to generate, based on a detected failure or anomaly, a first signal and a second signal;
• a warning display subsystem configured to receive the first signal from said flight warning subsystem and to display, based on the first signal, procedures to be performed in response to the detected failure or anomaly, the displayed procedures being displayed in response to user-initiated access of at least one user-activatable link;
• and
• an information subsystem configured to receive the second signal from said flight warning subsystem,
• wherein the user-initiated access of the at least one user-activatable link is based on a documentary unit stored in memory, the documentary unit providing a relationship between the second signal and the at least one user-activatable link.
