Motion control system and X-ray measurement apparatus

A motion control system for moving a moving body by a desired amount of movement, the motion control system comprising:

• moving-body-driving means for moving the moving body;
• a scale provided on the moving body or on an object that moves integrally with the moving body;
• a plurality of scale-detecting means for detecting the scale and outputting a periodic wave signal;
• computation means for calculating an average value of the amount of movement based on values obtained by performing interpolation on each of the output signals as periodic wave signals from the scale-detecting means, and outputting the average value of the amount of movement as a calibrated angle data signal;
• and
• control means for controlling the moving-body-driving means based on the calibrated angle data signal.
