Imaging apparatus for calculating a histogram to adjust color balance

A method for performing image processing comprising:

• capturing an image of an object and acquiring image data;
• calculating a white balance integration value from the acquired image data;
• calculating a first white balance control value for a still image data using the calculated white balance integration value;
• converting a white balance control value which is used to perform white balance processing on the image data of a moving image data to a white balance control value for a still image data;
• adjusting color balance of the acquired image data using the converted white balance control value and performing the histogram processing for a still image data in parallel with calculation of the white balance integration value.

A non-transitory computer-readable medium for storing a program for executing a method comprising:

• capturing an image of an object and acquiring image data;
• calculating a white balance integration value from the acquired image data;
• calculating a first white balance control value for a still image data using the calculated white balance integration value;
• converting a white balance control value which is used to perform white balance processing on the image data of a moving image data to a white balance control value for a still image data;
• adjusting color balance of the acquired image data using the converted white balance control value and performing the histogram processing for a still image data in parallel with calculation of the white balance integration value.
