Abstract
A display apparatus and a control method of the display apparatus are provided. The display apparatus includes a display panel which is partitioned into a plurality of panel areas, a video dividing unit which divides a video frame into a plurality of video areas, wherein each of the plurality of video areas corresponds to a respective panel area of the plurality of panel areas, a scaler which scales each of the plurality of video areas to fit into a corresponding panel area of the plurality of panel areas, and an operating unit which operates the display panel so that each of the scaled plurality of video areas is displayed in the corresponding panel area of the plurality of panel areas.
Claims22
A display apparatus comprising:
- a display unit including a single display panel, which is partitioned into a plurality of panel areas, and an operating unit which operates the single display panel;
- a video dividing unit which divides a single video frame into a plurality of video areas, wherein each of the plurality of video areas corresponds to a respective panel area of the plurality of panel areas;
- and
- a scaler comprising a plurality of sub-scalers which individually scale each of the plurality of video areas to fit into a corresponding panel area of the plurality of panel areas,
- wherein the plurality of sub-scalers are respectively connected to each input of the operating unit by using lines of the same number as the plurality of panel areas, and
- wherein the operating unit operates the single display panel so that each of the scaled plurality of video areas is displayed in the corresponding panel area of the plurality of panel areas.
A control method of a display apparatus, which has a single display panel and an operating unit that operates the single display panel, and which displays video on the single display panel partitioned into a plurality of panel areas, the control method comprising:
- dividing a single video frame into a plurality of video areas, wherein each of the plurality of video areas corresponds to a respective panel area of the plurality of panel areas;
- scaling each of the plurality of video areas to fit into a corresponding panel area of the plurality of panel areas;
- and
- displaying the scaled plurality of video areas on the single display panel so that each of the scaled plurality of video areas are displayed in the corresponding panel area of the plurality of panel areas,
- wherein each area of the video frame is individually scaled by a plurality of sub-scalers to fit into the corresponding panel area of the plurality of panel areas respectively, and
- wherein the scaled video frame is provided to a respective input of an operating unit connected to each of the sub-scalers by using lines of the same number as the plurality of panel areas.
A display apparatus comprising:
- a scaler which scales a single video frame;
- a single display panel which is partitioned into a plurality of panel areas;
- and
- an operating unit which operates the single display panel to display the scaled video frame,
- wherein the single video frame comprises a plurality of video areas, and each of the plurality of video areas corresponds to a respective panel area among the plurality of panel areas,
- wherein the scaler comprises a plurality of sub-scalers which individually scale each of the plurality of video areas to fit into the corresponding panel area of the plurality of panel areas respectively, and
- wherein the sub-scalers are connected to each input of the operating unit by using lines of the same number as the plurality of panel areas in order to provide an scaled video frame.
A control method of a display apparatus, the control method comprising:
- scaling a single video frame;
- and
- displaying the scaled video frame on a single display panel partitioned into a plurality of panel areas,
- wherein the single video frame comprises a plurality of video areas, and each of the plurality of video areas corresponds to a respective panel area among the plurality of panel areas,
- wherein each of the plurality of video areas is individually scaled by a plurality of sub-scalers to fit into the corresponding panel area of the plurality of panel areas respectively, and
- wherein the scaled video frame is provided to a respective input of an operating unit connected to each of the sub-scalers by using lines of the same number as the plurality of panel areas.
