Abstract
The invention provides a drive coil and measurement probe comprising the drive coil. The measurement probes can be used, for example, in in-situ, non-destructive testing methods, also provided herein.
Claims8
A measurement probe, comprising:
- a spiral drive coil having a current density that monotonically increases from a center of the drive coil to an outer edge of the drive coil;
- a sensing surface disposed at a distance from the drive coil, the sensing surface parallel to the drive coil and comprising at least one sensor;
- and
- an article comprising a first part, a second part and a composite system disposed at a distance from the sensing surface, the composite system comprising a curable resin and a plurality of detectable particles, the at least one sensor receiving signals from the plurality of detectable particles.
