The invention generally relates to systems and methods for mass spectrometry analysis of microorganisms in samples.
Claims9
A system for analyzing an analyte from a gas in an ambient environment, the system comprising:
- a capture module, the module configured to capture an analyte from a gas in an ambient environment and generate ions of the analyte, wherein the capture module comprises a porous substrate connected to a high voltage source;
- and
- a mass analyzer operably coupled to the capture module to receive the generated ions of the analyte.
