Abstract
The present invention provides an inbred corn line designated NPAA2675, methods for producing a corn plant by crossing plants of the inbred line NPAA2675 with plants of another corn plant. The invention further encompasses all parts of inbred corn line NPAA2675, including culturable cells. Additionally provided herein are methods for introducing transgenes into inbred corn line NPAA2675, and plants produced according to these methods.
Claims19
A seed of the maize plant NPAA2675, representative seed sample deposited under ATCC Accession Number PTA-12523.
A process of introducing a heritable trait into maize plant NPAA2675 comprising:
- (a) crossing NPAA2675 plants grown from NPAA2675 seed, representative seed sample deposited under ATCC Accession Number PTA-12523, with plants of another maize plant that comprise a desired trait to produce hybrid progeny plants, (b) selecting hybrid progeny plants that have the desired trait to produce selected hybrid progeny plants;
- (c) crossing the selected progeny plants with the NPAA2675 plants to produce backcross progeny plants;
- (d) selecting for backcross progeny plants that have the desired trait to produce selected backcross progeny plants;
- and (e) repeating steps (c) and (d) at least three or more times to produce backcross progeny plants that comprise the desired trait and all of the physiological and morphological characteristics of maize inbred plant NPAA2675 when grown in the same environmental conditions.
