Methods for producing a maize plant that comprises crossing hybrid maize variety X08B748 with another maize plant. Methods for producing a maize plant containing in its genetic material one or more traits introgressed into X08B748 through backcross conversion and/or transformation, and to the maize seed, plant and plant part produced thereby. This invention relates to the maize variety X08B748, the seed, the plant produced from the seed, and variants, mutants, and minor modifications of maize variety X08B748. This invention further relates to methods for producing maize varieties derived from maize variety X08B748.
Claims21
An F1 hybrid maize variety X08B748 seed, wherein representative seed is produced by crossing a first plant of variety PH1CJB with a second plant of variety PH17RM, and wherein representative seed of said varieties PH1CJB and PH17RM have been deposited under ATCC Accession Number PTA-120319 and PTA-12883, respectively.
A converted seed of F1 hybrid maize variety X08B748, wherein said converted seed is produced by crossing a first plant of variety PH1CJB with a second plant of variety PH17RM;
- wherein representative seed of said varieties PH1CJB and PH17RM have been deposited under ATCC Accession Number PTA-120319 and PTA-12883, respectively;
- and wherein at least one of said varieties PH1CJB and PH17RM further comprises a locus conversion, and wherein said converted seed produces a plant having the same phenotypic traits listed in Table 1 as X08B748 when grown under the same environmental conditions.
