Abstract
The invention relates to a thermoplastic elastomer composition comprising a thermoplastic elastomer and a flame retardant, wherein the flame retardant comprises at least a compound selected from the group consisting of piperazine phosphate, piperazine pyrophosphate and piperazine polyphosphate, and a phosphoric acid compound.
Claims19
A dynamically vulcanized thermoplastic elastomer composition, comprising:
- a thermoplastic elastomer and a flame retardant, wherein the flame retardant comprises at least a) a compound selected from the group consisting of a piperazine phosphate, piperazine pyrophosphate and piperazine polyphosphate, and b) a phosphoric acid compound, wherein the thermoplastic elastomer is an olefin-based dynamically vulcanized thermoplastic elastomer comprising polypropylene and EPDM rubber, and wherein the composition further comprises an oil selected from the group consisting essentially of a paraffinic oil, naphthenic oil, and aromatic oil.
A dynamically vulcanized thermoplastic elastomer composition, comprising:
- a thermoplastic elastomer and a flame retardant, wherein the flame retardant comprises at least a) one or more of piperazine phosphate, piperazine pyrophosphate and piperazine polyphosphate, and b) a phosphoric acid compound, wherein the phosphoric acid compound comprises a salt of melamine and an inorganic phosphorus compound, and wherein the thermoplastic elastomer comprises a thermoplastic polyolefin, a dynamically vulcanized elastomer comprising monomer units or ethylene, an α-olefin and one or more non-conjugated polyenes and oil.
A dynamically vulcanized thermoplastic elastomer composition, comprising:
- a thermoplastic elastomer and a flame retardant, wherein the flame retardant comprises at least a) one or more of piperazine phosphate, piperazine pyrophosphate and piperazine polyphosphate, and b) a phosphoric acid compound, wherein the thermoplastic elastomer comprises a thermoplastic polyolefin, a dynamically vulcanized elastomer comprising monomer units of ethylene, an α-olefin and one or more non-conjugated polyenes and oil, and wherein the thermoplastic elastomer comprises between 3 and 45 wt % polypropylene, relative to the total amount of the thermoplastic elastomer.
