The objective of this patent application is the application/use of sericin nanoparticles m cosmetic formulas for hair care, as an agent that bestows/gives gloss and softness and promotes maintenance of coloration in dyed hair.

An article of manufacture, comprising sericin cationic nanoparticles dispersed in a medium containing cationic polymer, which are obtained by coating of sericin nanoparticles with at least one-cationic surfactant in a cosmetic formulation for hair care.
