Abstract
The present invention is concerned with novel immunostimulant microparticle compositions and their use as anti-infective agents in the treatment of bacterial and viral infections.

A method of therapeutic treatment of an infection in a subject caused by a virus and/or a bacterium, comprising administering to the subject an effective amount of an MDP/DNA-microparticle, wherein the MDP/DNA-microparticle does not compromise a viral and/or bacterial antigen, and wherein the MDP/DNA-microparticle activates an innate immune response.
