Abstract
A trim device includes a trim cylinder, a piston, a piston rod and a support member. The piston is slidable inside the trim cylinder, in the axial direction of the trim cylinder. The piston rod is connected with the piston and moves in the axial direction of the trim cylinder following the movement of the piston. The support member is slidable relative to the piston rod and arranged to support the piston rod so that the piston rod's axial center can become tilted with respect to the axial center of the cylinder.
Claims6
A hydraulic cylinder device comprising:
- a cylinder including an open-end side;
- a piston provided inside the cylinder and arranged to be slidable in an axial direction of the cylinder;
- a piston rod connected with the piston;
- a cylinder cap provided in the open-end side of the cylinder;
- and
- a support member arranged to be slidable relative to the piston rod to support the piston rod so that an axial center of the piston rod is allowed to be tilted with respect to an axial center of the cylinder;
- wherein
- the support member includes an elastic tilt allowance member arranged to urge the piston rod to substantially axially align the piston rod with the cylinder;
- and
- a first seal is defined by an outer circumferential surface of the support member being in contact with the cylinder cap on an outer circumferential side of the elastic tilt allowance member, and a second seal is arranged between an inner circumferential surface of the support member and the piston rod on an inner circumferential side of the elastic tilt allowance member, so that the support member and the second seal seal an inner circumferential surface of the cylinder cap and an outer circumferential surface of the piston rod.
