Introducer device with locking adaptor

An introducer device for a thermal ablation device, comprising:

• a body extending from a proximal end to a distal end and having a handle;
• a scope connector attached to the proximal end of the body for detachably receiving a visualization device therethrough, the scope connector having a first slot extending through an outer wall thereof to permit insertion of a protrusion of the visualization device therethrough;
• and
• a locking mechanism movably attached to the scope connector for movement between a first configuration in which the locking mechanism is received over a portion of the slot to prevent the protrusion from being withdrawn from the slot and a second configuration in which the locking mechanism is radially separated from the slot to permit movement of the protrusion from the body.

An introducer for a thermal ablation system, comprising:

• a housing extending from a proximal end to a distal end and configured to receive a visualization device therethrough;
• a scope connector connected to a proximal end of the housing and having a projection formed thereon;
• a length adaptor adjustable to one of elongate and shorten a length of the housing to conform to a length of a visualization device inserted therethrough, the length adaptor including first and second cavities provided on the body to receive the projection to adjust the length of the body, the first and second cavities having respective first and second projections to lock a position of the projection therewithin;
• and
• a locking arrangement provided on a proximal end of the scope connector to removably lock the visualization device to the housing.
