Abstract
The invention provides nucleic acid molecules encoding FGF21 mutant fusion polypeptides comprising mutations at positions 98, 171, 179, 180 or 181, FGF21 mutant polypeptides, pharmaceutical compositions comprising FGF21 mutant polypeptides, and methods for treating metabolic disorders using such nucleic acids, polypeptides, or pharmaceutical compositions.
Claims11
An isolated fusion protein comprising:
- (a) an IgG constant domain;
- (b) a linker sequence fused to the IgG constant domain;
- and
- (c) an FGF21 mutant fused to the linker sequence and comprising the amino acid sequence of SEQ ID NO:
- 4, wherein an arginine residue has been substituted for the leucine residue at position 98 and a glycine residue has been substituted for the proline residue at position 171.
