Fluoropolymers containing one or more azide group wherein the azide group is not a sulfonyl-azide group and processes of preparing them.
Claims5
A method for preparing fluoropolymers containing one or more azide groups, said azide groups not being sulfonyl azide groups and said method comprising reacting a solution or dispersion of a fluoropolymer containing one or more leaving groups with an effective amount of an azide compound, wherein the azide compound is a compound according to the formula I—(CFX)n—N3, wherein X is F or H or a branched perfluoro or partially fluorinated alkyl group and n is an integer from 1 to 30.
