Reproducing apparatus and reproducing method

A method for reproducing moving image data which sequentially includes a plurality of frame sets, each frame set consisting of a plurality of frames captured by a plurality of predetermined exposure conditions which are different from each other, the method comprising:

• a selecting step of selecting at least one frame from the plurality of frames included in each frame set of the moving image data;
• a reproducing step of sequentially reproducing the at least one frame selected in the selecting step from each frame set of the moving image data;
• and
• an acquiring step of acquiring information indicating an attention area with respect to the moving image data reproduced in the reproducing step,
• wherein in the selecting step, at least one frame is selected from the plurality of frames included in each frame set of the moving image data on the basis of a brightness characteristic of the attention area.

A reproducing apparatus that reproduces image data generated from at least one of a plurality of frames captured by a plurality of predetermined exposure conditions which are different from each other, the apparatus comprising:

• a selecting unit that selects at least one frame from the plurality of frames captured by the plurality of predetermined exposure conditions;
• a reproducing unit that reproduces the image data by using the at least one frame selected by the selecting unit;
• and
• an acquiring unit that acquires information indicating an attention area with respect to the image data reproduced by the reproducing unit,
• wherein the selecting unit selects at least one frame from the plurality of frames captured by the plurality of predetermined exposure conditions on the basis of a brightness characteristic of the attention area.

A method for reproducing image data generated from at least one of a plurality of frames captured by a plurality of predetermined exposure conditions which are different from each other, the method comprising:

• a selecting step of selecting at least one frame from the plurality of frames captured by the plurality of predetermined exposure conditions;
• a reproducing step of reproducing the image data by using the at least one frame selected by the selecting step;
• and
• an acquiring step of acquiring information indicating an attention area with respect to the image data reproduced by the reproducing step,
• wherein in the selecting step, at least one frame is selected from the plurality of frames captured by the plurality of predetermined exposure conditions on the basis of a brightness characteristic of the attention area.

A reproducing apparatus that reproduces image data generated from at least one of a plurality of frames captured by a plurality of predetermined exposure conditions which are different from each other, the apparatus comprising:

• a combining unit that combines at least two frames selected from the plurality of frames captured by the plurality of predetermined exposure conditions;
• a reproducing unit that reproduces the image data generated by combining the at least two frames;
• and
• an acquiring unit that acquires information indicating an attention area with respect to the image data reproduced by the reproducing unit,
• wherein the combining unit combines the at least two frames selected from the plurality of frames captured by the plurality of predetermined exposure conditions on the basis of a brightness characteristic of the attention area.

A method for reproducing image data generated from at least one of a plurality of frames captured by a plurality of predetermined exposure conditions which are different from each other, the method comprising:

• a combining step of combining at least two frames selected from the plurality of frames captured by the plurality of predetermined exposure conditions;
• a reproducing step of reproducing the image data generated by combining the at least two frames;
• and
• an acquiring step of acquiring information indicating an attention area with respect to the image data reproduced by the reproducing step,
• wherein in the combining step, the at least two frames are selected from the plurality of frames captured by the plurality of predetermined exposure conditions on the basis of a brightness characteristic of the attention area.

An image processing apparatus that generates image data from at least one of a plurality of frames captured by a plurality of predetermined exposure conditions which are different from each other, the apparatus comprising:

• a combining unit that combines at least two frames of the plurality of frames captured by the plurality of predetermined exposure conditions to generate combined image data;
• an acquiring unit that acquires information indicating an attention area with respect to the combined image data;
• and
• a control unit that controls the combining unit on the basis of a brightness characteristic of the attention area.

A method for generating image data from at least one of a plurality of frames captured by a plurality of predetermined exposure conditions which are different from each other, the method comprising:

• a combining step of combining at least two frames of the plurality of frames captured by the plurality of predetermined exposure conditions to generate combined image data;
• an acquiring step of acquiring information indicating an attention area with respect to the combined image data;
• and
• a controlling step of controlling the combining in the combining step on the basis of a brightness characteristic of the attention area.
