Abstract
A method of providing a point-to-point multicast service for transmitting data from a network element to a plurality of terminals in a communication system. The method includes transmitting a first message including service available information from the network element to the plurality of terminals, and transmitting a second message including radio bearer information from the network element to the plurality of terminals. The first message includes a pointer to the radio bearer information.

A method of providing a point-to-point multicast service for transmitting data from a network element to a plurality of terminals in a communication system, the method comprising:
- transmitting service available information from the network element to the plurality of terminals;
- and
- transmitting radio bearer information from the network element to the plurality of terminals,
- wherein the service available information includes a pointer to predefined radio bearer configurations, transport channel configurations, and physical channel configurations listed in the radio bearer information.
