Abstract
A plastic lens includes a first surface and second surface that each have an optical function; and a peripheral surface formed at a periphery of the first surface and the second surface; and has a central portion of a thickness that is thinner than that of a peripheral portion of the plastic lens. The second surface includes an optically functional concave aspect, a recess formed along an outer perimeter of the concave aspect, a first protruding portion formed at a boundary of the concave aspect and the recess, a second protruding portion formed at a boundary of the recess and the peripheral surface, and a gate portion formed on the peripheral surface, at a position where a resin injection outlet is arranged during formation of the plastic lens.

A plastic lens comprising:
- a first surface and a second surface that each have an optical function, wherein the second surface comprises:
- an optically functional concave aspect,
- a recess arranged along an outer perimeter of the concave aspect and formed around an optical axis,
- a first protruding portion arranged at a boundary of the concave aspect and the recess around the optical axis,
- a second protruding portion arranged at a boundary of the recess and the peripheral surface and formed around the optical axis, and
- a gate portion formed on the peripheral surface, at a position where a resin injection outlet is arranged during formation of the plastic lens;
- a peripheral surface formed at a periphery of the first surface and the second surface;
- a central portion of a thickness that is thinner than that of a peripheral portion of the plastic lens;
- a first inclined aspect between an apex of the recess and the first protruding portion;
- and
- a second inclined aspect between an apex of the recess and the second protruding portion, wherein
- the plastic lens is formed by injection of resin, and
- a conditional expression (1) θ1<θ2 is satisfied, where θ1 is an angle between a plane orthogonal to the optical axis of the plastic lens and the first inclined aspect, and θ2 is an angle between the plane orthogonal to the optical axis of the plastic lens and the second inclined aspect.
A plastic lens comprising:
- a first surface and a second surface that each have an optical function;
- a peripheral surface formed at a periphery of the first surface and the second surface;
- and
- a central portion of a thickness that is thinner than that of a peripheral portion of the plastic lens, wherein
- the second surface comprises:
- an optically functional concave aspect,
- a recess arranged along an outer perimeter of the concave aspect and formed around an optical axis,
- a first protruding portion arranged at a boundary of the concave aspect and the recess around the optical axis,
- a second protruding portion arranged at a boundary of the recess and the peripheral surface and formed around the optical axis, and
- a gate portion formed on the peripheral surface, at a position where a resin injection outlet is arranged during formation of the plastic lens,
- the plastic lens is formed by injection of resin, and
- a conditional expression (2) i−f>0 is satisfied, where i is a height of a lower aspect of the gate portion with respect to a distal end of the second protruding portion, and f is a height of an apex of the recess with respect to a distal end of the second protruding portion.
A plastic lens comprising:
- a first surface and a second surface that each have an optical function;
- a peripheral surface formed at a periphery of the first surface and the second surface;
- and
- a central portion of a thickness that is thinner than that of a peripheral portion of the plastic lens, wherein
- the second surface comprises:
- an optically functional concave aspect,
- a recess arranged along an outer perimeter of the concave aspect and formed around an optical axis,
- a first protruding portion arranged at a boundary of the concave aspect and the recess around the optical axis,
