Abstract
An LCD device includes a transparent substrate. A first data electrode, a first CLC-MC layer, a first selection electrode, a second CLC-MC layer, a second data electrode, an insulating layer, a second selection electrode, a third CLC-MC layer, and a third data electrode are sequentially formed in this order on the transparent substrate.
Claims21
An LCD device, comprising:
- a liquid crystal layer formed by laminating a plurality of layers (hereinafter referred to as CLC-MC layers) each formed by microcapsules containing cholesteric liquid crystal;
- and
- a transparent substrate, wherein
- a first data electrode, a first CLC-MC layer, a first selection electrode, a second CLC-MC layer, a second data electrode, an intermediate layer, a second selection electrode, a third CLC-MC layer, and a third data electrode are sequentially formed in this order on the transparent substrate, wherein
- the first selection electrode and the second selection electrode are electrically connected to one drive IC, and
- the first to third data electrodes are electrically connected to different drive ICs.
