Calculator and computer-readable medium

A non-transitory computer readable storage medium having a program stored thereon for controlling a computer to perform operations comprising:

• recognizing a numerical expression which is handwritten on a touch panel;
• converting the handwritten numerical expression in a text format;
• displaying the text-converted numerical expression on a display unit;
• if the handwritten numerical expression is recognized as a certain function, adding an item for the certain function into the handwritten numerical expression and the text-converted numerical expression;
• if a part of the text-converted numerical expression is erroneously recognized and the erroneously-recognized part is specified, erasing the erroneously-recognized part and a part of the handwritten numerical expression corresponding to the erroneously recognized part;
• recognizing information which is handwritten again in the erased part of the handwritten numerical expression;
• and
• correcting the erroneously-recognized part of the text-converted numerical expression.

A calculator comprising:

• a display unit having a touch panel;
• and
• a processor which performs operations comprising:
• recognizing a numerical expression which is handwritten on a touch panel;
• converting the handwritten numerical expression in a text format;
• displaying the text-converted numerical expression on a display unit;
• if the handwritten numerical expression is recognized as a certain function, adding an item for the certain function into the handwritten numerical expression and the text-converted numerical expression;
• if a part of the text-converted numerical expression is erroneously recognized and the erroneously-recognized part is specified, erasing the erroneously-recognized part and a part of the handwritten numerical expression corresponding to the erroneously recognized part;
• recognizing information which is handwritten again in the erased part of the handwritten numerical expression;
• and
• correcting the erroneously-recognized part of the text-converted numerical expression.
