Abstract
In this invention we are disclosing a process for the synthesis of hydrocchlorofluoro olefins (HCFO) and/or hydrofluoroolefins (HFO). The process is based on the gas phase, noncatalytic fluorination of hydrochlorofluoropropenes to form hydrofluoropropenes.
Claims13
A process for producing the hydrofluoroolefin 2,3,3,3-tetrafluoro-1-propene, comprising the step of:
- a) fluorinating the hydrochlorofluoroolefin 2-chloro-3,3,3-trifluor-1-propene in a gas phase, in the presence of a aluminum fluoride or chromium catalyst to form directly the hydrofluoroolefin 2,3,3,3-tetrafluoro-1-propene and co-products pentatluoropropane and chlorotetrafluoropropane.
