Abstract
The present disclosure relates to the use of a split and single electrical cells in industrial applications, and particularly in aseptic packaging applications.
Claims6
A method of treating a rinse solution comprising:
- (a) applying a rinse solution to a surface of a food package and forming a used rinse solution;
- (b) collecting the used rinse solution, the used rinse solution containing the hydrogen peroxide and peracid;
- (c) transporting the used rinse solution using a rinse line;
- (d) integrating a single electrolytic cell into the rinse line;
- and
- (e) using the single electrolytic cell to degrade predetermined amounts of the hydrogen peroxide and peracid in the used rinse.
