Abstract
A sheet processing apparatus capable of improving sheet processing performance and productivity is provided. While sheets are conveyed in a piled state toward a rear-end stopper, displacement is produced between the sheets by a pair of discharge rollers. Even if adhesion occurs between the sheets during conveyance thereof, the adhesion between the sheets can be removed before the sheets come into contact with the rear-end stopper.
Claims14
A sheet processing apparatus comprising:
- a piling portion at which a plurality of sheets are piled;
- a conveying portion, having a pair of conveying rotary members, capable of conveying the plurality of sheets piled by the piling portion;
- a stacking tray on which sheets conveyed by the conveying portion are stacked;
- and
- a regulation member against which a sheet is abutted to regulate the sheet conveyed to the stacking tray,
- a control portion which controls the conveying portion so that a first rotary member of the pair of conveying rotary members rotates in contact with one of the piled sheets at a first velocity and a second rotary member thereof rotates in contact with another sheet of the piled sheets at a second velocity greater than the first velocity so as to displace the piled sheets in a sheet conveying direction with respect to each other before the piled sheets are abutted against the regulation member.

An image forming apparatus comprising:
- an image forming portion which forms an image on a sheet;
- a sheet processing apparatus which processes the sheet on which the image is formed;
- and
- a control portion which controls the sheet processing apparatus, the sheet processing apparatus includes:
- a piling portion at which a plurality of sheets are piled;
- a conveying portion, having a pair of conveying rotary members, capable of conveying the plurality of sheets piled by the piling portion;
- a stacking tray on which sheets conveyed by the conveying portion are stacked;
- and
- a regulation member against which a sheet is abutted to regulate the sheet conveyed to the stacking tray,
- wherein the control portion controls the conveying portion so that a first rotary member of the pair of conveying rotary members rotates in contact with one of the piled sheets at a first velocity and a second rotary member thereof rotates in contact with another sheet of the piled sheets at a second velocity greater than the first velocity so as to displace the piled sheets in a sheet conveying direction with respect to each other before the piled sheets are abutted against the regulation member.
