Abstract
A cover for an eyewear strap is provided. The cover may include a first member, a second member associated with the first member and movable toward and away from the first member, and a fastener connected to the first member and the second member for removably connecting the first member to the second member. The cover may be adapted to receive an eyewear strap between the first and second members when the first and second members are disconnected, and the cover may be securable to the eyewear strap when the first and second members are connected together.
Claims20
A cover for an eyewear strap, the cover comprising:
- a first member;
- a second member associated with the first member and movable toward and away from the first member;
- and
- a fastener connected to the first member and the second member for removably connecting the first member to the second member, the fastener including an edge that is not connected to the first and second members and is adapted to move relative to the first and second members;
- wherein the edge of the fastener is movable away from at least one of the first and second members to provide a gap between the fastener and the at least one of the first member and the second member;
- and
- wherein the cover is adapted to receive an eyewear strap at least partially in the gap between the fastener and the at least one of the first member and the second member.
A method of coupling a cover to an eyewear strap, the method comprising:
- providing an eyewear strap adapted to couple to eyewear;
- providing a cover including a first member, a second member associated with the first member, and a fastener coupled to the first member and the second member for removably coupling the first member and second member together;
- moving the first member and the second member away from each other;
- moving an edge of the fastener that is not coupled to the first member and the second member away from at least one of the first member and the second member to provide a gap between the fastener and the at least one of the first member and the second member;
- positioning the eyewear strap at least partially in the gap;
- and
- coupling the first member and the second member together with the fastener to secure the cover to the eyewear strap.
