Computer implemented method to create a near real time well log

A computer implemented method to create an executive dashboard for creating an editable real time surface well log comprising:

• a. forming an editable well log template using computer instructions in a data storage connected to a processor on a network, which communicates to at least one client device;
• b. importing user information into the editable well log template;
• c. continuously importing 24 hours a day, 7 days a week, simultaneously a member of the group comprising:
• well sensor information from a well sensor, well event based observation data from an observation source, well fluid testing data from a testing source, or combinations thereof, into the editable well log template;
• d. using computer instructions to use the information of the populated editable well log template to scale the well sensor information, well event based observational data, well fluid testing data, which includes at least one testing data from a gas chromatograph for determining various hydrocarbon gas volumes selected from the group:
• methane, ethane, propane, butane, pentane, carbon dioxide, and hydrogen sulfide concentration, forming scaled values and connecting the scaled values with the user information creating an executive dashboard of the scaled values and the user information;
• e. using computer instructions to compute a microview log plot and a macroview log plot simultaneously using the scaled values associated with the user information and simultaneously displaying the computed log plots on the executive dashboard for forming the editable real time surface well log;
• f. using computer instructions to form a plurality of control buttons that allow a user to navigate on the executive dashboard, wherein the control buttons comprise a job menu button, a save button, and a view menu button;
• and
• g. wherein the simultaneously displayed macroview log plot and the microview log plot on a real time basis and other well event based observational data and well fluid testing data on the executive dashboard enabling a user to achieve safe drilling with fewer accidents, and further wherein the microview log plot comprises at least one gas graph track and an index and at least one curve corresponding to the index;
• and wherein the executive dashboard enables safety interpretations for drilling, geological interpretations for drilling, operational interpretations for drilling, and combinations of these interpretations, in real time by multiple client devices simultaneously.
