Abstract
A cover system includes a first layer providing a top surface over a patient support structure. A layer of spacer material is provided beneath the first layer. An air mover moves air through the layer of spacer material to remove moisture adjacent a person supported by the patient support.
Claims20
A cover system for a person support structure, the cover system comprising:
- a first layer providing a top surface over the person support structure;
- a mass of spacer material beneath the first layer, the mass of spacer material being configured to permit air passage therethrough, the mass of spacer material comprising one or more layers of spacer material, each layer of spacer material being made of a material other than foam;
- and
- an air mover operable to move air through the mass of spacer material without the air mover moving air through any support elements of the person support structure over which the first layer and the mass of spacer material are situated, wherein the support elements are made of a material other than the material from which the mass of spacer material is made, wherein the one or more layers of spacer material comprises a fiber layer.
